Sackville Street & Vigo Street

Sackville Street is a handsome thoroughfare which runs north from Piccadilly to Vigo Street. It has its own particular grandeur, with stately buildings in Portland stone framing the ends of the street and, symmetrical neoclassical porticoes creating a monumental gateway from Piccadilly.

Sackville and Vigo Streets will be transformed with widened footways, constructed in high quality York stone and granite setts.

The scheme will include an elegant sequence of trees and seating, new footway space for alfresco dining (licences will be required), a traffic free link to east Mayfair (already constructed),  public art and an enhanced gateway from Regent Street, encouraging more footfall into Piccadilly.

The Sackville Street and Vigo Street scheme completes the family of East Mayfair public realm improvements on the surrounding streets and the Royal Academy of Arts investment in its new north entrance.
